  1. Consider your personal style: Choose designs that resonate with your personality and interests.
  2. Think about versatility: Opt for stylish motif t-shirts that can be paired with multiple items in your wardrobe.
  3. Quality matters: Look for t-shirts made from durable, comfortable fabrics that will withstand repeated wear and washing.
  4. Fit is key: Ensure you choose a size and cut that flatters your body shape.
  5. Colour coordination: Select colours that complement your skin tone and existing wardrobe.

Styling Your T-Shirt

Now that you’ve chosen your perfect printed t-shirt, it’s time to create some fabulous outfits. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Pair a graphic tee with high-waisted jeans and trainers for a casual, everyday look.
  • Tuck a slogan t-shirt into a midi skirt and add some heels for a fun night out ensemble.
  • Layer a motivational tee under a blazer for a smart-casual office outfit.
  • Wear a travel-themed t-shirt with shorts and sandals for a relaxed weekend vibe.

Where to Find the Best Printed Tees

The internet has made it easier than ever to find a wide range of graphic t-shirts. Many online retailers offer extensive collections, allowing you to browse through countless designs from the comfort of your home. Some even offer customisation options, letting you create a truly unique piece.

When shopping online, be sure to check size guides and read customer reviews to ensure you’re getting a quality product that fits well.

Caring for Your T-Shirt

To keep your printed t-shirt looking its best, follow these care tips:

  1. Always check the care label before washing.
  2. Turn the t-shirt inside out to protect the print.
  3. Wash in cold water to prevent fading and shrinkage.
  4. Avoid using the tumble dryer – air drying is gentler on the fabric and print.
  5. Iron on a low setting, and always iron on the reverse side of the print.

Embrace Your Style

Stylish printed t-shirts are a form of self-expression, a comfortable fashion staple and a versatile addition to any wardrobe. Whether you’re drawn to motivational messages, witty slogans or designs that showcase your interests, there’s a motif t-shirt design out there for you.

So why not add a few new pieces to your collection? With the right graphic t-shirts, you’ll always have something comfortable, fashionable and uniquely you to wear.

  6. I love my printed tees! There has been a boom of them during lockdown especially, lots of people sell them on Etsy via some sort of scheme where they order the t-shirt and it gets made in China or somewhere, as you can tell I don’t know all the details lol! But it has meant there are so many options now, it is fantastic! Like someone else has said they are a great way of communicating my mood!

  9. I like this post even though I am not a fan of graphic tshirts, I just think each to their own. I hate it when the print fades in the wash as it makes the tee look cheap and worn. Also some of the slogans I’ve seen are distasteful and inappropriate. So yeah not a fan as you can tell 🤣

  10. I buy transfers and tshirts separately so I can make a bespoke top for myself. Last Christmas I made them for friends and family too, they loved them!

I still have a Fleetwood Mac printed tee from their tour back in the 80s. Wish I’d taken better care of it as they’re worth a fortune in good condition now. Mine is acceptable at best – but it’s still my all time fave!

I have found the best printed tee’s in charity shops. Actually that’s a place that is good to buy most things and at bargain prices too although it is a bit hit and miss with sizes and style availability.

  19. Does anyone know where to get kids band tshirts? All the slogan tees I see in kids sizes are predictable and cheesy so I would like to get my son a band one instead but can only find adult sizes. He is 8 so it would drown him.

What about these people who have a side hustle making printed T’s? Some got very rich during lockdown, does anyone remember that? But yeah there are lots of options to do it now and it is so easy. Check out You Tube as well for helpful tutorial video’s. If I had any spare capital I’d be giving it ago myself for sure. Good luck to you all.

I can’t believe how popular printed tshirts are nowadays. Back in the day they were mostly band shirts but now there are so many different types. They’re not my style but I do find some of them funny. I’m probably too much of a formal dresser to make printed tshirts work.

  30. Eve Sutton says:

Like someone else has said, printed tees aren’t for me! They always look scruffy, sorry folks! But on the other hand if they are new they look weirdly clean and crisp so there is no good way for them to be in my opinion!

  31. Well this post took me right back to my heyday in the 90’s and I was a huge grunge fan. My favourite printed tee was a Nirvana one, got it from one of their concerts. They don’t make bands like that anymore.

  32. I used to work in a job where my work attire had to be SUPER formal at all times. To rebel, I used to wear a printed tshirt underneath my shirt, tie and blazer. Only I knew about it but it was my little way of getting back at management lol. I could wear a tshirt covered in curse words and none of our high brow clients or snooty senior managers had any idea XD

  33. Emma Wilson says:

When I was in my early 20s I dated a guy who wore nothing but printed t shirts on top. Even for smart or special events!! That’s why we only ever dated and didn’t progress, no matter how much I pleaded and reasoned with him he stubbornly refused to understand why it was sometimes inappropriate to dress the way he did. That told me he was closed-minded and pig headed – definately not the man for me! I met and married my now husband soon after splitting up with this dude. I hear he’s still single and still wears those awful t shirts everywhere. Small wonder eh??

  34. Kevin Cordell says:

Some of these shirts sell for such high prices on Ebay but what I would like to know is how to buyers know they are genuine originals and not replicas/knock offs?

  35. Trev Gough says:

I wonder what the very first printed tee design was? Does anyone know? Maybe Bart Simpson or ‘I’m with stupid’? Surely they were made before then though, like in the 60’s or something? I hope someone can tell me.
